Brrr outside

After a wonderful anniversary weekend and some great weather to celebrate, Everlee and I found ourselves inside today. Apparently, she's gearing up for the cold weather too;)

Thursday

After nap it was so fun to get outdoors! After playing in the garage Everlee walked all the way to the park, holding my hand while we crossed the street of course;). There she got to play with Macy. The girls loved to slide one right after another. 

Happy 62nd birthday dad! We enjoyed our thirsty Thursday margaritas in your honor tonight. 

Terrific Tuesday

Everlee loves to take selfies! I usually find at least 30 on my phone a day. 

Before this happened we were watching "Itsy bitsy spider" on the iPad. All the sudden she gets up and starts doing this...

...and waits until I say "peek a boo" then she gets up and laughs. Then we repeated it 10 times. 

When Everlee heard the lawn mower she stood at the window looking for it, lined her little people up and started singing into this cup. She makes me laugh everyday. 

ISU basketball preview

Getting a pic with Mr. Iowa Nice Guy last night during Hilton Madness. Look him up on You Tube if you don't know who he is(that's what I had to do;)

Tyler arrived 2 hours early and this is how close in line he was to the door. 

"Hilton Madness" is like meet the men's and women's basketball teams night. They dropped the tournament banners and gave free stuff away. They had a 3 point shoot out and dunk contest. 8,500+ people attended the event. Go State!

Special treat

Today Rich, Everlee and I had lunch with Papa. It was so good to see him on his way through. Everlee did such a great job at the restaurant. She said "hi" to everyone. What a fun treat!

Inside day

I made Everlee a "treat" today for dessert, chocolate pudding! It's a clean eating version made with avocados and bananas. She loved it! At one point she was scooping it with a spoon in her left hand and had her right hand directly in it. 

Usually we go outside after nap and snack. We didn't make it outside today though because of the wind and cold. She must know our routine because she went right for my shoes. Instead we played inside in her big playroom(aka Andreas new office;)

Everlee is beginning to show me her way of doing things. Today this is how she wanted to eat her snack. She poured her box of raisins into the bowl, added a few crackers and got her water cup. There you have it: Everlee's snack time:)

Windy day

We can never play too much peek a boo in the tunnel.

Lobsterfest 2014

The men did a great job cooking all the seafood. We had clams, shrimp, mussels, northern, and lobster. It was a seafood feast!

Tyler came home this weekend and was part of the fun. I love having him close to share in the family fun.

Tents n Buckles

This morning I took Macy to the library for story time. We met Hollie and Cooper there. There's so much to do for an eager toddler. 

Everlee playing "peek a boo" when she came out of the tent. 

After lunch and before nap the girls spent the better part of an hour playing in Andreas office. The tent was the highlight! Apparently it was so exhausting because both girls napped for over 2 hours! After nap and snack they were obsessed with the buckles on the high chairs. Each time one of them buckled one correctly we'd yell and clap. Then I'd unbuckle them and we'd start the fun game over. 

Sooo Big!

Helping vacuum the floor after lunch. 

She loves to "click" her belt about 20 times in a row after lunch also. 

After nap and snack we go outside to play and today she wanted to put socks on all by herself.

Toddlers x3

Aunt Hollie and Cousin Cooper came over to play this afternoon. The kids had fun showing off that they knew all their body parts. 

After nap Everlee and Macy played independently in the living room. They are too cute together.

Everlee loved the new toy mama picked out for bath time. She loved it so much that she sat on her bottom the whole time!

Independent Spirit

Not wanting to celebrate what she had done it's what happened before the picture and after the picture that made me smirk. She wanted some cereal so I put some in a cup for her. She goes over and dumps it out on to the floor, picks a handful up, and feeds it to Rambo. Then tells me "no,no." She was correct. That is a "no,no."

After a 2 3/4 hour nap she woke up in a happy mood and enjoyed a snack. 

After snack we headed outside to explore. 

We made our way down to the park. Dan and Macy Miller came to play also. The girls chased each other around all while smiling. 

On a side note, Tyler attended the MIS pre career fair last night at ISU. He dressed up in his business casual and met with a few companies. He even discovered some that hire freshman interns. The president of his MIS club, who is a senior, commended him for attending the event. Stating, "Not many freshman come out for the night. Was glad he made it out. He's that much further ahead." 

Sunday Funday

Sunday my day started with taking Tyler back to college. It was so fun to have him home and spend time with us. I love that he's so close! Saturday night the Smith's had us over for a grill out. It was fun for us all to be together. After I ate lunch with Tyler and his friends at school I spent the afternoon with Chloe and Cooper. First stop was Cherry Berry. Then it was off to the park and then back home to play. The kids have such a great imagination. I continue to enjoy being a bigger part of my Neices and nephew life:)

Family Friday

While Hollie had her dentist appt today I watched Cooper. We had fun playing cars and running around. 

Tyler came home this weekend and Rich had us over for supper. Everlee did some snap chattin' with her peeps on Tyler's phone;) This night is exactly why we moved to Polk City: family! Thanks for a delicious supper and fun chatting time. 

Home Sweet Home

Our new home at 210 Booth St. As everyone knows home renovations take time and this fixer upper project is no different. We are so grateful to be in our new home and are slowly becoming acquainted with the town and neighbors. A huge thanks goes out to the Smith's, Kneifl's and my parents. We could not have done all this work without you. We are so thankful for all your help:)

One of the things I was excited about moving to Polk City for (besides being close to family) was the farmers market in the square Thursday afternoons. Since we haven't had much time to ride since moving we rode the bike 3 blocks to the square and back home.

It is becoming harder and harder to get a pic of this active little lady. The first reason is because everytime she sees my phone she yells, "Steve!" Then wants to look at the pic of us. The second reason is because she loves to take selfies and listen to music. She will take about 15 pics and then have happy feet and dance. Good thing she doesn't know how to enter cc information yet or I'd have a big bill racked up;)
