We got married!
Friday, October 25, 2013, Steve and I became man and wife. It was a simple ceremony with my parents standing up for us. We had a wonderful celebration afterwards with them. Drinks at Bev's on the River, supper at Toyko Staekhouse, and after dinner drinks at Four Brothers. A perfect day!

Tonight's theme: Pink out! Thanks to Tyler's friend, Ellie, for letting him borrow this outfit. Task tomorrow: get the image out of my head of what Tyler looked like before he put the leggings on!

Last Fall Ball Hurrah
Tyler was invited to play in Total Baseball Developments Fall Super Series today.
First off he was chosen to participate in the Home Run Derby. 2 kids from each team were chosen for a total of 12 kids. 9 of the 12 kids didn't hit any home runs which included Tyler. It was a good batting practice before the games started though.
With 12 pitchers wanting to show their stuff and only 14 innings to pitch in, Tyler got his chance the second inning in the first game. Three up, three down...Tyler struck out all three batters. He was only one of two pitchers to do that all day. He also played second base and was part of a sweet double play. They lost the first game to the Lynx from Brandon Valley 0-1. The second game they played the Iowa Wildcards and won 10-8. It's been fun watching his extended baseball season but sadly it is over. Another Senior last. I'm not getting used to it quite yet.

Heading to storm lake
Tonight the theme for football was "winter." So Tyler put on his Denver snow skiing gear(thanks Hollie and Jason) and headed to storm lake to cheer on the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs won 58-14. With this win they get into the playoffs. Pictured with him is his friend, Hailey.

end of season tournament
Today the team started off playing Akron Westfield. They lost 1-2. Tyler was part of a sweet double play. They won the second game vs South O'Brien 2-0. Tyler pitched, and fielded at second and third base. He also had a perfect line drive to center to get on base and with some smart base running with a few errors he reached home for a score. They ended the season in 7th place out of twelve teams. It's been fun spending our Sundays watching fall ball.

Always in my heart...
Cooper is sooo busy all the time. This was the best pic I could get of him. The rest of them were blurry.
Chloe on the other hand will always stop and pose for a blog pic. A true queen with her crown, waving to her fans;)
The kids are both at such a fun age. They have excellent manners in public, make friends easily, and have such soft hearts. Excellent products of their parents good parenting. Chloe made me this pic of herself with a bunch of hearts. She said, "cuz you are always in my heart, brigett" You are too Chloe, you are too:)
Aunt time
Thank you Steve for holding down the home front while I travel to Ankeny.
Friday afternoon I was able to spend time with little Everlee. It is so fun to see Rich and Andrea parent. She was very busy putting everything in her mouth, sitting up, and rolling over and over and over.
Then for the early evening I took the Smith kids to McDonalds play land. It is Chloe and I's usual place for date night but Coopers first time going. In the beginning he wasn't too sure...
...but by the end he was going in n out everywhere his little legs could take him.
The fun didn't stop there. Afterwards we went to the indoor playground for more running! And that they both did!
After that we went home and had more fun. Rich, Andrea, and Everlee came over for some controlled chaos. I think by the end we had finally worn out all 3 kids;)

Busy Day
This morning we attended to aqau groove class at the YMCA. Emelia was the star of the class. All the elderly woman loved her.
Swimming must have wore her out because she slept for 2 hours afterwards.
Helping make energy bites for Tyler's after school snack.
Quite the nature girl like her mom. She gathered all the leaves and loved crunching them in her hands.
And she leaves the blanket to wander.
Daddy forgot to bring her toys this morning. No worries! She found the towel drawer;)
With Emelia's regular sitter not able to sit today I got the pleasure of spending the day with this very busy and energetic 11 month old. We had a great day!

Tailgating
The theme for tonight's football game in Spencer: NEON! Tyler packed the car up with all the tailgating essential: a grill, hotdogs n chips and was off. With Steve gone on a motorcycle trip with Grampa in Nebraska, I am home alone...and it feels good and relaxing;)

Tonight we went on our last bike night to Bronson. We got to ride on the Triumph and mom n dad took Dennis' Harley. Isn't there a law against that once you're a Triumph owner;)

Week 3 Fall Ball
They played Kingsley Pierson, Woodbury Central today. They beat them both games by 10 run rule.
Tyler pitched the first 2 innings. He had 5 strikeouts and 1 squeeze play. Afterwards he played second base the rest of the day.
Tyler got a lot of practice today running the bases. He had so much extra energy. It must've been from the great breakfast that grandma made him and Aaron this morning after they spent the night there last night. How did she not hear them come home, when she could hear a pin drop when I came home 2 minutes after curfew;)

Fun, Family, and Friends
After hitting up farmer's market this morning we watched Drew play 4th grade padded football. He plays on the line and does an excellent job of sacking the QB and pancakes.
After the game we went to Grandpa and Grandmas to meet Tyler and his friend, Aaron there. We all enjoyed the steak dinner they made us last weekend that Tyler thought we should do it again. Great idea!

Hick Night
Tonight for the volleyball game the "hick" theme continued. Tyler turned it up a notch with this ensemble. He's pictured with Jake and Alex.
Hick Day
This week is Homecoming week at LCHS. Which means we are putting together costumes all week. Yesterday we started it off with having Tyler's Senior pictures taken by a close family friend, Curt Strathman. It was a fun experience for me to be included in the process with Tyler. I can't wait to see the proofs and share them with all of you.

Fall Ball...
...And it felt like fall today.
Tyler started the day playing second base, went to short stop, and finished at pitcher. He had a great run down squeeze play and a perfect throw to first for 2 outs. As pitcher in the last inning he had 3 strike outs. They played the Teal team which consisted of kids mostly from Sioux City North. They lost the first game 1-2 and won the second game 3-2.
